Bike of the month - Jeff Balazs and 'Oil Spot'

October's award went to a great example of the single pictured.  (Ahem...I am talking about the AJS and not the relaxed looking character behind the bike! )

December's 'bike of the month'

 Tom Goode's 1940 G3

This month's award goes to a 1940 G3 in full military trim.

"What a thrill to see my bike listed as Bike of the Month.   I bought this
bike because I was desperate for a British Bike.  I could not find a BSA
WDM20 and the G3 was the only military bike in original finish at the
Veterama in Mannheim Germany.  I purchased the Bike for 3,800 euros from
Michael Clements of the Netherlands.  He was very nice and threw  in an
original British Motorcycle overcoat, socks and the original title. I now
have a very original and complete dispatch riders uniform to go with the
bike.

I have not started the bike since I bought it last fall.  I need to find the
proper manuals so that I don't damage the bike.  I am familiar with the
Harley WLAs but the Matchless is a different breed of cat.  Anyone who can
help me to locate manuals would be a great help.

I don't intend to alter the bike in anyway other than to improve the
original Military finish and details of the bike."
Tom Goode

Tom has the complete British despatch riders uniform (collected over the last 5 years)
and admitted that he more or less bought the bike to go with the uniform!
